Job summary

Blue Ocean Corporation in Hyderabad invites a junior QA tester to join our software quality assurance team. You will design and execute manual test cases for web and mobile apps, perform functional/integration/system testing and participate in UAT.

Collaborate with developers and product managers, track defects in Jira/Azure DevOps, and maintain test documentation. Bachelor's in CS/IT and strong analytical skills required; prior testing experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
• Develop, review, and execute detailed test cases and test plans based on requirements.
• Conduct Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and UAT.
• Perform API testing to validate request/response functionality and data accuracy.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
• Work with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide QA inputs.
• Maintain test documentation, defect reports, and testing status reports.
• Ensure applications meet quality standards before deployment.

Job Description

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  
• 0-1 years of experience in Manual Software Testing.
  
• Strong experience in developing and executing test cases and test scenarios.
  
• Hands-on experience in Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  
• Working knowledge of API Testing using tools such as Postman or similar.
  
• Experience in testing mobile applications (Android and/or iOS).
  
• Experience with bug tracking and project management tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps.
  
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
