Job summary

DevsLane is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to own end-to-end quality assurance for live production projects. You will collaborate with development teams, create test plans, execute manual tests, and ensure smooth delivery across releases.

The role requires 4+ years hands-on QA on production/live projects, strong ownership, and knowledge of SDLC/STLC, SQL, and CI/CD basics. US client overlap is expected; location Dehradun, India.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on QA experience on production/live projects.

• Manual testing experience for web applications.
• Independent ownership of QA for projects/modules.
• Strong test design, defect lifecycle, and regression planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA activities for production-grade web applications from requirement analysis to release sign-off.
• Create and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and regression suites.
• Perform manual testing across functional, integration, regression, and UAT flows.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify and resolve issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions, and release cycles.
• Validate APIs, database flows, and backend integrations as needed.
• Coordinate with overseas clients/stakeholders and provide QA updates and reports.
• Ensure product quality, usability, and performance across environments.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead QA activities for production-grade web applications from requirement analysis to release sign-off.

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions, and release cycles.

• Ensure product quality, usability, and performance across environments.

Must Have Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 4+ years of hands-on QA experience on production/live projects.
• Strong ownership mindset and willingness to learn, especially in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Strong experience in manual testing for web applications.
• Experience independently owning QA responsibilities for projects/modules.
• Strong understanding of test case design, defect lifecycle, and regression planning.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and release cycles.
• Hands-on exposure to PostgreSQL for data validation and testing.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Pivotal Tracker, Trello, or similar platforms.
• Basic API testing experience using Postman or similar tools.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills.

Good To Have

• Experience testing mobile applications.
• Exposure to automation testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
• Experience handling communication with overseas/international clients is preferred.

Compensation Range: INR 8-12 LPA (Exceptions possible for outstanding candidates)
