Job summary

EXL in India is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java or Python and Selenium, and to validate web services through API testing.

You will set up automation frameworks from scratch, integrate tools into the CI/CD pipeline, and lead Agile ceremonies while collaborating with clients to gather requirements and drive quality across complex banking/finance domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• ISTQB Certified.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality automation testing solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently or in a team.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium preferably.
• Set up automation frameworks from scratch and Integrate automation code/tools to CI/CD pipeline.
• Perform API testing to ensure the reliability and performance of web services.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews).
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.
• Provide technical training to upskill the existing testing team.
• Mandatory Skills:
• Extensive experience for web automation using Java/Python preferably Selenium.
• Proficient in API testing using tools like Postman.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Strong knowledge of Agile test methodology.
• Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA.
• Experience with database testing preferably SQL for data validation and analysis.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of any Automation tools like Cypress/Test Robot Automation.
• GenAI, LLM Model testing experience.
• Strategize and estimate new automation requirements/projects.
• Preferred domain experience in Finance and Banking.
• Certification in Automation/Performance testing like CSTAS and CPTP.
