Job summary

EXL Analytics seeks a skilled analytics professional to deliver end-to-end projects and business insights using Power BI, SQL, and advanced data modeling. You will translate client needs into actionable analyses, lead client sessions, and build dashboards for marketing and channel performance.

You will work with a global team, grow expertise in analytics tools, and contribute to data-driven decision making across industries. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in CS/Engineering or analytics.
• Proficiency in M language, DAX SQL (Power BI), SQL.
• Experience in data visualization and analytics.
• 3–10 years of data visualization experience in Analytics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide business insights and manage end-to-end project delivery.
• Structure analytical solutions to address business objectives.
• Translate client needs into hypotheses and tests (A/B).
• Develop analysis plans and advise on campaign effectiveness.
• Facilitate client sessions and lead status meetings.

• Develop tabular/multidimensional models using M-Query for warehouse standards.

Role and Responsibilities Overview

• Emphasis is on providing business insights and managing end to end project delivery
• Structure analytical solution to address business objectives and problem solving
• Translate stated or implied client needs into researchable hypotheses, A/B tests
• Develop sophisticated analysis plans to test those hypotheses, tests given data and help develop strategy for increasing effectiveness of the campaigns
• Facilitate client working sessions and lead recurring project status meetings
• Develop long-lasting, trusted advisor relationships with clients
• Secure new opportunities within existing account relationship
• Manage day-to-day project operations, serve as the functional and domain expert on the project team to ensure that they meet client expectations
• Provide quality oversight on deliverables prepared by the project team before submitting to client
• Develop visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop around marketing campaign, performance, channels and tool utility
• Design advanced SQL queries for Data manipulation
• Create and modify SQL queries to manipulate data in database
• Knowledge of Stored procedures, views, advanced functions will be preferred
• Connect Power BI to different data sources, import data and transform data for Business Intelligence
• Implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI
• Develop tabular/multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards using M-Query
• Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
• Proficiency in M language, DAX SQL (Power BI), SQL
• Insurance Industry knowledge preferred
• 3-10 years' experience of data visualization, preferably in Analytics
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
• Able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
