Job summary

Shaily Engineering Plastics Ltd. is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to develop and maintain QMS procedures, oversee internal audits, and coordinate with customers on quality documentation and specifications.

• 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949:2016 and automotive quality requirements.
• Experience in internal audit planning, execution, reporting, NC identification and corrective action closure.
• Experience with document and change control processes and ECN/document revision control.
• Familiarity with APQP, process maps, work instructions and quality documentation.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Quality Management System (QMS)

• Develop, review and maintain QMS procedures, processes and quality documentation.
• Ensure effective implementation of QMS requirements across plant functions.
• Coordinate review and improvement of quality procedures in line with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and awareness on QMS, quality procedures and business processes.
• Support closure and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

2. Audits & Corrective Actions

• Plan, coordinate and conduct internal quality system audits across plant functions.
• Lead and undertake audits of suppliers and other relevant areas of the supply chain.
• Prepare audit reports, identify non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
• Manage the internal audit and corrective action reporting system.
• Provide guidance to employees on audit requirements and quality system compliance.

3. Customer Quality & Documentation

• Review customer documents, drawings, specifications and quality requirements and ensure timely implementation.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams for implementation of revised drawings, specifications and other requirements.
• Review and maintain APQP documents, process maps, work instructions, packing procedures and other quality documentation.
• Review and share quality dashboards and documentation required by customers within defined timelines.
• Ensure customer requirements are communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders.

4. Document & Change Control

• Control quality documents and records in accordance with QMS procedures.
• Maintain and control obsolete documents as per SOP and customer requirements.
• Communicate new and revised documents to concerned stakeholders through appropriate channels.
• Initiate and coordinate Engineering Change Notes (ECN) for document/process changes.
• Ensure the latest approved documents are available at relevant work locations.

5. Plant QA Activities

• Handle day-to-day QA activities at the plant and ensure adherence to defined quality processes.
• Review product and process documentation for compliance with customer and QMS requirements.
• Support investigation and resolution of quality issues in coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure timely implementation and closure of quality-related actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality systems and processes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or relevant discipline.
• 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949:2016, Quality Management Systems and automotive quality requirements.
• Experience in internal audit planning, execution, reporting, NC identification and corrective action closure.
• Strong document and change control skills.
• Knowledge of ECN/document revision control.
