Job summary

Americana Restaurants is seeking a qualified QA Tester with 4+ years of experience to ensure data quality across CDP, ETL processes and Big Data platforms. The role requires strong SQL skills, automation expertise, and familiarity with Agile environments.

The candidate will validate data pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to data integrity across multiple platforms and tools used in analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering.
• 4+ years of QA testing experience focused on CDP, ETL processes and Big Data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes and data pipeline architectures (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Presto).
• Experience with Big Data platforms (HDFS, Hive, HBase, Presto, etc.) and distributed computing.
• Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries to validate data across platforms.
• Experience with automation frameworks for ETL testing (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, PyTest).
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence and other collaboration tools for test management.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Java, Scala, or Bash.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and Agile testing environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
