Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data/ETL Testing or Data Quality Assurance.
• Strong expertise in SQL with hands-on experience writing complex queries, joins, aggregations, and stored procedures.
• Experience testing ETL/ELT pipelines and validating source-to-target data.
• Hands-on API testing using Postman or similar REST API tools.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with Linux/Unix commands for log analysis and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.

Responsibilities

• Validate end-to-end data pipelines from source systems to target databases and data warehouses.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL/ELT workflows and data transformation processes.
• Perform data validation using complex SQL queries to verify data completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Test REST APIs used for data ingestion and integration using tools such as Postman.
• Validate data quality, business rules, schema changes, and transformation logic.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and production validation testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Development teams to troubleshoot data issues and verify fixes.
• Automate repetitive data validation tasks using SQL, Python, or automation frameworks where applicable.
• Support production releases and perform post-deployment data validation.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, execution reports, and test documentation.
