Job summary

Ascendion in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced QA automation engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript. You will create and execute automated scripts for web apps and APIs, perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing, and contribute to quality across the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using C# and Selenium.
• Validate REST APIs through automated and manual testing approaches.
• Perform database testing, data validation, and backend verification using SQL.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous testing initiatives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives, and Reviews.
• Prepare and maintain test reports, execution summaries, and quality metrics.
• Strong experience with Playwright Automation Framework.
• Hands‑on expertise in TypeScript.
• Advanced knowledge of Selenium Automation.
• Strong programming experience in C#.
• Experience in API Testing (REST APIs, request/response validation, automation).
• Strong SQL skills with experience in database testing and data validation.
• Experience with test reporting, defect tracking, and test management tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
