Pico seeks a QA/Test Engineer with 3+ years of test engineering experience to ensure the quality of our real-time market data and trading platforms. You will work in a hybrid setup, focusing on automated testing using our in-house framework and Linux-based environments.

You will contribute to test automation, collaborate in agile teams, and build robust tests in Python and shell scripting while expanding your understanding of cloud environments and financial markets.

PICO is expanding its test engineering team which is responsible for ensuring the quality of its high performance, real-time market data, order entry, and trading application products. This team delivers innovative, automated testing solutions to verify the accuracy, performance, functionality, stress, resilience, and use case validation of the company’s products.

Working from our Krakow or Hyderabad office, you will be working in a team that is passionate about quality. As a part of our agile teams, you will be responsible for functional testing and automating tests, using an in-house automation test framework, to ensure our industry's leading product is high quality.

Role Description

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 year of experience of test engineering experience, preferably dealing with enterprise products based on Linux and scripting languages. Experience with Python programming and shell scripting is required. Functional understanding of Cloud environment is desirable but not required

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the quality of industry leading financial and enterprise core product features

Requirements

• Third level degree in Computer science, Electronic Engineering or similar
• Ease with Linux/Unix operating systems
• Have programming skills using languages such as Python, bash...
• Interest in learning about financial markets and electronic trading
• Interest in learning about software testing and test methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written English-language communication skills

Desirable

• Functional understanding of cloud environments
• C and/or Java programming

The QA role will cover EMEA shift (14:00 IST - 22:00 IST) Monday - Friday

Working Arrangements

This is a Hybrid position with [weekly time in the office with the flexibility of working from home]. Though travel may be required from time to time, it is not expected to be regular or frequent. The role holder will be expected to work whatever hours are necessary for the performance of this role (recognizing that it involves multiple jurisdictions/geographies including but not limited to EMEA, USA and APAC).
