Job summary

Iris Software, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Testing/Quality Engineering professional with 9-10 years of hands-on SDET and Java automation expertise.

The role focuses on designing scalable automation frameworks and validating backend services across regulatory and capital markets contexts. The ideal candidate will have strong Java coding skills, API automation experience with REST Assured, SQL proficiency, and experience with Agile/DevOps environments.

Qualifications

• 9-10 years of experience in Software Testing/Quality Engineering with strong expertise in SDET and Java Automation.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks using Java.
• Strong hands-on coding skills in Java, with solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and coding best practices.
• Extensive experience in API automation testing using REST Assured and backend/service-layer validation.
• Strong expertise in SQL, database testing, data validation, and reconciliation testing.
• Experience automating backend, legacy systems, batch processes, and enterprise integrations in Agile/DevOps environments.
• Prior experience in Regulatory Reporting, particularly across regulations such as ASIC, CSA, CFTC, ESMA, and FCA.
• If direct Regulatory Reporting experience is not available, then strong Capital Markets domain knowledge, especially in OTC Derivatives products, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Java.
• Create, execute, and maintain API and backend tests (REST Assured) to ensure data validity and integration reliability.
• Collaborate with DevOps/Agile teams to automate tests across systems and data pipelines.
