Qualifications

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in Playwright using C#/.NET to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in UI and API automation, framework architecture, debugging, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

The candidate must be comfortable writing automation code, troubleshooting complex failures, and explaining technical decisions with real project examples.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright with C#/.NET.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications, covering UI and API testing.
• Create reusable automation components, utilities, test data management, and authentication/session handling.
• Implement reliable locators, synchronization strategies, assertions, and error‑handling mechanisms.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve flaky tests, automation failures, and application defects.
• Apply risk‑based testing strategies to prioritize test scenarios based on business impact and release risks.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Perform cross‑browser testing and ensure automation suite reliability, maintainability, and test coverage.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuously improve automation practices.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in QA automation testing, preferably in web application testing.
• Strong, hands‑on experience with Playwright using C#/.NET (Microsoft.Playwright).
• Proven experience designing, developing, or significantly enhancing automation frameworks.
• Strong C# programming skills, including object‑oriented programming and reusable code design.
• Practical experience in UI automation and API testing.
• Good understanding of locators, waits, assertions, browser contexts, authentication, and session reuse in Playwright.
• Experience debugging automation failures and handling flaky tests.
• Knowledge of test planning, test coverage, risk‑based testing, and defect management.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Selenium or Cypress.
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow or Cucumber.
• Experience with test reporting tools such as Allure or Extent Reports.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerized test execution.
• Exposure to performance testing tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Important Requirement

Hands‑on Playwright automation experience using C#/.NET is mandatory. Candidates with only Playwright JavaScript/TypeScript experience or only Selenium with C# experience will not meet the core requirement.

Candidates should be able to explain their framework architecture, demonstrate practical coding skills, and share real examples of debugging and test strategy decisions.
