Job summary

Otomeyt is seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead in Pune to design, build, and own scalable Playwright automation frameworks from scratch. You will lead migration of Selenium suites to Playwright and architect MCP integrations and Agent-based automation.

The role requires mentoring a 5-10 member team and driving CI/CD integration and shift-left testing strategies. You will own STLC, test strategy, risk-based testing, and exploratory testing while tracking KPIs such as coverage and flakiness.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of total QA experience.
• 5+ years of test automation experience.
• 3+ years hands-on production-grade Playwright experience.
• Strong TypeScript scripting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Playwright MCP and Playwright Agent creation.
• Proven experience designing and scaling automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong Selenium framework design and scripting experience.
• Experience migrating Selenium to Playwright.
• Hands-on with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Git.
• Azure DevOps (ADO) knowledge including pipelines and test plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own scalable Playwright automation frameworks from scratch.
• Lead migration/enhancement of existing Selenium-based automation suites to Playwright.
• Architect and implement Playwright MCP integrations and Playwright Agent-based automation.
• Develop, review, and optimize automation scripts across UI, API, and cross-browser test suites.
• Lead and mentor an automation team of 510 engineers.
• Assign tasks, review code, and enforce framework standards.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and drive shift-left testing practices.
• Own STLC, test strategy, risk-based testing, and exploratory testing approaches.
• Track and report automation KPIs including coverage, flakiness, execution time, and ROI.
• Act as the primary technical liaison in daily client interactions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and framework issues.
