Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise India Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks a software engineer focused on networking systems. You will design, develop, and test high-quality solutions with emphasis on reliability and performance.

The role requires at least 2 years of hands-on Python/Unix development, solid TCP/IP and routing knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive testing and quality improvements. Experience with routers/switches and virtual networking is a plus.

Qualifications

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on software development experience with Python and Unix environments.
• Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing protocols, and virtual networking.
• Hands‑on knowledge of QA/testing involving network routers and switches.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.

• Partner with Engineering Managers and other stakeholders to drive technical initiatives and solve customer problems.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry advancements and apply relevant learnings to improve solutions.

• Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing protocols, and virtual networking.


• Hands‑on knowledge of QA/testing involving network routers and switches.


• Good understanding of software testing and networking systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and contribute to solution testing.


• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with virtual networking technologies.


• Knowledge of Kubernetes.


• Familiarity with Red Hat OS and Unix internals.


• Strong learning mindset with an interest in keeping up with the latest technologies and tooling.
