Job Description:

L2/L3 QA engineer This role has been designed as ‘’Onsite’ with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office. We are looking to hire Test Engineers for the Data Center (DC-QA) team in Bangalore. The Data center Unit (QA) team is responsible for quality assurance of the various L2/ L3 domain areas for every release that being shipped to the Customer. Be a part of the team with highly energetic and talented engineers working in the areas of Switching and Routing. Will be responsible for high-quality deliverables by working with internal teams such as Development, QA, program management etc. Expected to build and sustain strong technical skills.

What you’ll do:

Will be responsible for providing solid support of Networking Products that involve customer-specific tests for a release, product, and solution. This role requires to develop and maintain expertise on the products deployed within the Specific Customer Networks. The Candidate should have expertise in networking fundamentals, L2/L3 protocols and hands on experience in both manual & automation of multi-dimensional scaled solutions testing.

What you need to bring:

Must have strong Routing/Switching background. Must have strong experience with routers and switch architecture. Must be playing a strong technical role in the current position A clear understanding of the product development cycle, technical requirements with a strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices. 10+ years of relevant test experience in Layer2/Layer3 technologies on any competitive devise set Candidate having Regression test environment/Tools exposure is an added asset. Candidate must have a strong record delivering software test projects on-time and with high quality A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical / Electronics Engineering a Master Degree; or equivalent experience is required. Candidate must possess good oral and written communication skills, be highly self-motivated, and have the ability to work in a team environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

Domain Knowledge: Cloud Provider/ Enterprise and Data Centre Technologies and AI/ML Data Center Network Technologies Networking Protocols: BGP, OSPF/ISIS, ARP, VLANS, MPLS, L3VPN, MC-LAG, LACP, L2VPN, VPLS, Multicast, NGMVPN, EVPN-VXLAN, GRE, IPSec, NAT, HTTP, NetConf, etc Experience with internet protocols: TCP, UDP, Ipv4/IPv6 Internet Protocols: TCP, UDP, Ipv4/IPv6 Layer 2 technologies, Spanning Tree, LAG, MC-LAG, Virtual Chassis CLOS Architecture, HA Design Concepts, EVPN Test Knowledge: Prepare Test Plans, Test Execution, Understanding of Complex Customer Networks. Automation: Experience in automated test execution, ability to debug automation failures, and narrow down software issues from test results and logs. Knowledge in Python/Pytest/Go or any other scripting language. Expertise in use of networking test equipment like Spirent and Ixia, including automation Platform Knowledge: Juniper (routers, switches), Cisco, Nortel, Huawei, traffic generators (Ixia, Agilent)/ traffic simulators, protocol analyzers, testers etc (not all are required but some of these are good to have).

Preferred Certifications

CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, JNCIS-M, JNCIP-M, JNCIE-M, CCIE-SP
