Job summary

Source-Right is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to own and drive quality across firmware, backend, and application testing. The role requires strong hands-on testing experience, enabling effective System Integration Testing (SIT) and component validation for complex device ecosystems.

You will design tests across firmware, cloud interactions, and APIs, execute negative testing, and collaborate with firmware, backend, and product teams to ensure robust releases and actionable defect reports.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E./MCA in Electrical, Electronics, CS or related discipline.
• Hands-on testing across firmware, backend, and applications.
• Experience in SIT (System Integration Testing) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test case design, execution, and release validation across firmware, backend, APIs, and web/mobile apps.
• Conduct edge and negative testing to identify failures.
• Drive end-to-end SIT for connected devices, cloud, hardware interactions, and application workflows.
• Validate firmware, backend services, databases, APIs, and integration flows across product variants.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects with cross-functional teams.
• Active participation in sprint planning and test strategy.
• Work closely with developers to debug and resolve issues.
• Provide detailed logs and reports for reproduction and root cause analysis.

• Test case design, execution, and release validation across firmware, backend, APIs, and web/mobile applications.

• Drive end to end System Integration Testing for connected devices, cloud communication, hardware interactions, and application workflows.
• Validate firmware behavior, backend services, databases, APIs, and integration flows across multiple product combinations.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects while collaborating with firmware, backend, application, product, automation, and business teams.
• Actie participation in sprint planning, requirement reviews, test strategy.
• Work closely with dev team engineers to debug and resolve issues.
• Provide detailed logs and reports for issue reproduction and root cause analysis.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of QA experience with strong hands on exposure to IoT products, connected devices, firmware, embedded systems, or device-cloud integrations.
• Strong understanding of STLC, defect life cycle, QA best practices, and release validation processes.
