Job summary

Lightrains Technolabs in India is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to own the quality strategy for customer-facing applications. You will design test frameworks, create test cases, and collaborate with developers to catch issues before production.

You will design and maintain automated regression tests, perform API testing, and contribute to improving QA culture and tooling within Agile teams.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years in test automation and QA practice.
• Experience designing from scratch and implementing test automation.
• Hands-on API testing using modern tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated regression test suites.
• Investigate, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Execute manual and automated tests across web and API surfaces.
• Report test results and consolidate quality metrics.
• Improve the test automation framework and tooling.

Duties and responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated regression test suites

• Execute manual and automated tests across web and API surfaces
• Report test results and compile consolidated quality metrics
• Continuously improve the test automation framework and tooling
• Participate in Agile ceremonies — stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Contribute ideas for improving product quality and team processes

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience in test automation
• Ability to design and implement test automation architecture from scratch
• Experience with API testing (Postman, Supertest, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude
