Job summary

Trackmind is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Python and Pytest, validate APIs, and ensure data accuracy in reporting dashboards.

The role involves testing Power BI dashboards, validating SQL data, API testing, and contributing to automation framework improvements. You will collaborate with data engineering and development teams to deliver reliable software with strong SDLC discipline.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and Pytest for automation and testing.
• Experience with API testing for REST APIs including validation.
• Strong SQL and database testing capability.
• Experience validating Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Solid understanding of QA processes, test cases, defect lifecycle, and SDLC/STLC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Pytest.
• Perform API testing for REST APIs, including functional, integration, regression, and negative testing.
• Validate backend data using SQL queries and database testing techniques.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems, databases, APIs, and reporting layers.
• Test Power BI dashboards and reports for data accuracy, filters, calculations, and visuals.
• Identify, document, and track defects and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
• Participate in test planning, execution, and automation framework improvements.
• Collaborate with development, data engineering, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure quality.
• Contribute to improving test coverage and automation efficiency.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in developing automation frameworks, validating data and APIs, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of reporting dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Pytest.
• Perform API testing for REST APIs, including functional, integration, regression, and negative testing.
