Job summary

Trika Technologies is seeking a skilled QA professional to strengthen our ecommerce testing capabilities. You will craft and execute comprehensive test plans for web and mobile features, including catalog, cart, checkout, and orders, ensuring robust order management workflows.

The role requires hands-on experience in Functional, UI/UX, API, and regression testing, plus automation scripting with Playwright and proficiency in JavaScript.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA for ecommerce applications (B2B&B2C) and order management workflows.
• Strong hands-on experience with Functional, UI/UX, API, and Integration testing.
• API testing experience using Postman, Swagger or similar tools.
• Automation scripting with Playwright.
• Proficient in JavaScript.
• Familiar with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Familiarity with cross-browser/device testing.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• 5+ years of experience in QA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test suites for web/mobile ecommerce features and Order Management.

• Create and maintain test data strategies (masking, synthetic data, environment setup).
• Triage, log and track defects; participate in defect triage and verification.

• Produce clear QA reports, metrics, and release-readiness assessments.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases and test suites for web and mobile eCommerce features (catalog, search, cart, checkout, payments, promotions, orders, accounts) and Order Management.
• Perform Functional, UI/UX, API / integration, Regression testing and backend verification.
• Create and maintain test data strategies (masking, synthetic data, environment setup).
• Triage, log and track defects; participate in defect triage and verification.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Dev, and Support teams; participate in grooming, planning, and retrospectives.
• Produce clear QA reports, metrics, and release-readiness assessments.

WHAT WE NEED IN YOU

• QA experience with significant exposure to eCommerce applications (B2B & B2C) and domain workflows (Storefront, Browse, Cart & Checkout, Payments, Inventory, Promotions) and Order Management.
• Strong hands-on experience with Functional / UI / Regression / Integration testing.
• Solid API testing experience in (Postman, Swagger or similar)
• Proficient in Automation scripting experience (Playwright)
• Proficient in at least one scripting/programming language (JavaScript).
• Familiar with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Familiarity with compatibility testing across web browsers, devices, and operating systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

AI Skills (Good to have)

• Demonstrated, hands-on experience using AI tools to accelerate the testing workflows (e.g., ChatGPT / Claude / Copilot for test-case design, AI-based testing platforms).
• Proficiency in prompt engineering for QA tasks — crafting effective prompts for test case generation, user story analysis, test script authoring, and defect documentation.
• Ability to configure, run and critically review AI-generated test artifacts (test cases, scripts, test data) to ensure accuracy and coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate - BE / B-Tech / MCA or equivalent.
• 5+years of experience
• Good team player with strong communication skills - verbal and written.
• Energy and real passion to work in a startup environment.
• Certifications such as ISTQB / AI Testing would be an added advantage.
