Job summary

Code1 Tech is seeking an experienced Automation & Functional QA Engineer with 6–8 years of experience to strengthen our eCommerce quality practices. You will design and implement robust automation using Playwright and TypeScript across multiple modules.

You will perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing, contribute to test planning, defect management, and CI/CD integration, collaborating with developers, product owners, and QA engineers in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of QA experience.
• Proficiency in Playwright and TypeScript.
• Experience with eCommerce workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for eCommerce applications.
• Analyze requirements and prepare test scenarios and cases.
• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Execute automated and manual test cases across modules and environments.
• Validate critical eCommerce workflows including cart, checkout, payments, orders, and user accounts.
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects.
• Work with developers to resolve issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Execute regression test suites and ensure release readiness.
• Collaborate in CI/CD integration and QA documentation.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Automation & Functional QA Engineer with 6–8 years of experience and strong expertise in test automation using Playwright and TypeScript, along with hands-on experience in eCommerce applications.

The ideal candidate should have a strong automation background while also being comfortable with functional testing, test planning, defect management, and end-to-end quality assurance of eCommerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for eCommerce applications.

• Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Execute automated and manual test cases across different application modules and environments.
• Validate critical eCommerce workflows including product search, product listing, cart, checkout, payments, orders, customer accounts, and related functionalities.
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects using appropriate defect management tools.
• Perform root-cause analysis and work closely with developers to resolve application issues.
• Execute regression test suites and ensure application stability before releases.
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
• Maintain test data, automation scripts, test reports, and QA documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other QA engineers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to improving automation coverage, testing efficiency, and overall QA processes.

• Customer registration/login
• Promotions, coupons, and discounts
• Inventory-related workflows
• Returns/refunds
• End-to-end customer journeys

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• 6–8 years of QA experience

• Hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript
• Proven experience working on eCommerce applications
