Job Summary

We are looking for experienced QA/QC Civil Engineers with 4+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in high-rise residential buildings, commercial buildings, and villa projects.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities, materials, workmanship, and finishing works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, project quality plans, and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor QA/QC activities at the construction project site.
• Conduct quality inspections for civil and structural works.
• Inspect reinforcement, shuttering, RCC, concrete, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, flooring, painting, and finishing works.
• Ensure construction activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.
• Review drawings and specifications and communicate quality requirements to the execution team.
• Conduct pre-pour and post-pour inspections for RCC works.
• Inspect reinforcement, shuttering, embedded items, openings, levels, alignment, dimensions, and other pre-pour requirements.
• Monitor concrete pouring activities, slump tests, cube sampling, curing, and related quality procedures.
• Conduct inspection of incoming construction materials and verify compliance with approved specifications.
• Monitor quality of cement, steel, concrete, blocks, bricks, waterproofing materials, tiles, adhesives, paints, and other construction materials.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection Requests (IR/WIR), checklists, inspection reports, and quality records.
• Identify construction defects, deviations, and non-conformities and raise NCRs/quality observations wherever required.
• Coordinate with site execution teams for corrective and preventive actions.
• Follow up and ensure timely closure of NCRs and quality observations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential quality issues and minimize rework and material wastage.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, Contractors, Vendors, and Client Representatives on quality-related matters.
• Ensure proper execution of waterproofing works, including wet areas, terraces, basements, roofs, and other critical areas.
• Monitor quality of finishing works and ensure compliance with approved samples and specifications.
• Conduct snagging and de-snagging inspections and monitor timely closure of defects.
• Maintain complete QA/QC documentation, including ITPs, Method Statements, IR/WIR, NCRs, checklists, test reports, material approvals, and inspection records.
• Participate in client, consultant, internal, and third-party inspections/audits.
• Ensure compliance with relevant IS Codes, project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.
• Identify recurring quality issues and recommend corrective measures to improve construction quality.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports and quality MIS.
• Support project handover by ensuring completion of quality documentation, snag closure, and final inspections.
• Coordinate with the project team to ensure quality requirements are achieved without affecting project schedules.

Candidate Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in QA/QC within the construction industry.
• Strong experience in high-rise residential, commercial buildings, villas, or similar building projects.
• Good knowledge of RCC, structural works, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
• Good knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, Method Statements, IR/WIR, NCRs, checklists, and quality documentation.
• Knowledge of concrete testing, slump testing, cube testing, material inspection, and site quality procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant IS Codes and construction quality standards.
• Good communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, vendors, and project execution teams.
• Candidates with strong experience in high-rise building construction will be preferred.
