Job summary

Cordance is seeking an experienced automation engineer to design and maintain cloud NOC automation across AWS and Azure. You will implement runbooks, integrate monitoring with ITSM, and build reusable scripts to reduce manual effort and accelerate recovery.

The role demands strong coding practices, error handling, and version-controlled automation, with a focus on secure, auditable changes in a governance-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years scripting/automation with strong Python and PowerShell.
• REST API, JSON, webhook and authentication concepts.
• Monitoring/observability-to-ITSM integration.
• CloudWatch and Azure Monitor automation.
• Production-quality coding with logging, security and rollback.
• Git/version control and controlled releases.
• ITIL change controls and production automation governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python/PowerShell automation for cloud operations, diagnostics and remediation.
• Integrate Datadog, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor and ITSM through APIs/webhooks.
• Automate alert enrichment, ticket creation/update, health checks and approved remediation.
• Build reusable AWS/Azure operational scripts and modules.
• Implement validation, logging, retry, error handling and rollback controls.
• Develop automation runbooks with prerequisites, risks and rollback procedures.
• Identify high-volume manual NOC activities suitable for automation.
• Implement approval gates and guardrails for high-risk actions.
• Maintain version-controlled automation assets and secure coding practices.
