Qualifacts in India seeks an engineering leader to own execution for a backend-heavy product team. You will guide delivery quality, team health, and technical direction, collaborating with product and clinical stakeholders to shape roadmaps and commitments.

You will drive hiring, set performance expectations, and mentor engineers toward growth. You will contribute to architecture decisions, uphold a strong technical bar, and remove blockers to keep the team focused and moving.

Qualifications

• Hands-on backend stack: Python/Django, React, AWS.
• Systems thinking for distributed systems and scalability.
• Experience managing engineers in a product company and shipping features.
• Strong written and verbal communication to leadership and peers.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams under ambiguity.

• Strong communicator: written and verbal, up to leadership and across to peers
• Organized under ambiguity - can manage multiple workstreams without losing detail

Nice to have

• Background in healthcare, compliance-heavy, or data-sensitive domains
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tooling and how it changes team velocity
