Job summary

Cloudxtreme is seeking a seasoned Python-focused Platform Engineer to design and build platform tooling, backend services, and API integrations supporting observability and developer productivity. The role involves creating middleware APIs on AWS, implementing robust REST APIs with modern frameworks, and contributing to AI-assisted tooling, all within a SAFe agile environment.

You will collaborate across mobile, QE, and DevOps teams, participate in on-call duties, and contribute to code reviews

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience with Python as a primary language.
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs and microservices using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django REST).
• Solid experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, DynamoDB, SQS, CloudWatch).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis).
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean architecture, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration basics (Kubernetes/ECS).
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket/GitHub).
• Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and API tests (pytest, unittest).
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SAFe or similar scaled frameworks.

Responsibilities
