Job summary

Luxoft in Bengaluru is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Risk squad. You will contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of market risk reporting and analytics platforms using cloud-native AWS services and data processing techniques.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, Architects, and Engineers to deliver business outcomes, drive automation, monitoring, and operational excellence, while ensuring security and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Risk squad. You will contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of market risk reporting and analytics platforms. This role requires strong engineering capabilities across cloud-native development, data processing, DevSecOps practices, and operational support, while working closely with business stakeholders and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications and services supporting the REX platform.
• Build scalable and resilient cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Develop and optimize APIs, data pipelines, and reporting solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Support production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and drive root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and Engineers to deliver business outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with security, risk, and engineering standards.

SKILLS

Must have

• Software Engineer with 5-8 years of experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Python for application development, automation, and data processing.
• Strong programming experience in object-oriented languages such as Java, C#, or similar.
• Good understanding of APIs, microservices, and integration patterns.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Strong AWS knowledge, including experience with cloud-native services and serverless architectures.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and production support.
• Experience with source control, code reviews, and modern software engineering practices.
• Understanding of ETL, data ingestion, and large-scale data processing solutions.
• Exposure to observability, reliability engineering, and operational excellence practices.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code and cloud automation frameworks is desirable.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Capital Markets and trading environments.
• General understanding of Interest Rate, FX, and Commodity products.
• Good understanding of market risk measures such as:o Sensitivities (Greeks)o Value at Risk (VaR)o Stress Testing and Macro Stress
• Exposure to Market Risk Reporting and Regulatory Capital Reporting.
• Familiarity with risk data platforms, risk aggregation, and reporting process.
