Job summary

Zensar Technologies is seeking a backend software engineer in Pune to design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based services and data processing components. You will optimize SQL queries across Sybase and MariaDB, write Unix scripts, and collaborate in Agile teams.

The role requires strong Python/SQL skills, hands-on relational DB experience, and knowledge of Perl, SVN, and XML. Bachelor’s degree preferred. On-site in Pune with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of backend software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Unix, Git, and relational databases.
• Working knowledge of Sybase and MariaDB; exposure to SQL Server and PostgreSQL is advantageous.
• Experience with Perl, SVN, and XML is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities
