Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a hands-on Principal Software Engineer to join our Bengaluru engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and platform capabilities using Python, FastAPI, and Redis, with cloud-native approaches on Azure. Familiarity with React for frontend integration is a plus.

You will own architecture, technical design, and implementation for complex systems, ensuring secure, high-performance solutions across enterprise-grade projects.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services.
• Experience with Python, FastAPI, Redis, and cloud-native technologies.
• Azure Container Apps and Azure Blob Storage familiarity desirable.
• React frontend integration experience is a plus.

Role Summary:

• We are looking for a hands-on Principal Software Engineer with 12–15 years of experience joining our engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and platform capabilities.
• You will work on modern backend systems using Python, FastAPI, Redis, and cloud-native technologies, while contributing to architecture, API design, performance, reliability, and engineering quality.
• Experience with Azure Container Apps and Azure Blob Storage is desirable. Familiarity with React and frontend integration patterns is a plus.

• Strong understanding of request lifecycle, middleware, dependency injection, authentication flows, and error handling
• Strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code
