Job summary

Iris Software in India is seeking a skilled software engineer to design and implement trading services, including market data and order management, using C++ and Python on Linux.

You will collaborate with quants and traders to test and deploy solutions, participate in CI/CD, and help maintain high-performance, scalable systems across the stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience building highly performant, low-latency systems on Linux.
• Intermediate level C++ programmer. Use appropriate constructs; avoid unnecessary complexity.
• Proficiency with Linux platform.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Basic script and database query coding is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement services for trading such as market data, order management, messaging layer, security reference data systems, position keeping systems, and services for user interfaces (C++, Python).
• Work with quants, traders, and other stake holders to design, implement and test technology used in trading.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
• 2+ years of experience building highly performant, low-latency systems on Linux platform
• Intermediate level C++ programmer. Must have ability to use the right construct for the problem and not introduce unnecessary complexity for the sake of using a new C++ construct. Develop maintainable software.
• Proficiency with Linux platform
• Proficiency in Python
• Basic script and database query coding is required
