Job summary

Kumaran Systems seeks an automation testing professional with 3–5 years of hands-on experience to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web apps and APIs. You will run functional, regression, and API testing, and integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines.

Strong Python skills and experience with Selenium/Playwright are required. You will collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables, analyze results, and expand test coverage.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on automation testing experience.
• Proficiency in Python with UI automation using Selenium or Playwright.
• Experience in API testing (REST/SOAP) and CI/CD integration.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and end-to-end business workflows.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and API testing activities.
• Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other DevOps tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with teams to resolve issues effectively.
• Develop reusable automation components and enhance test coverage.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:

• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright for UI automation.
• Solid experience in API Testing using REST and SOAP services.
• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD integration.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Ability to build and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
• Experience integrating automated test suites with DevOps tools and pipelines.
