The role involves collaborating with Developers, QA, Product Owners, and Business Analysts; building test strategies, plans, and cases; and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines. A strong foundation in REST API testing and SQL is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 4–8 years of software testing and test automation experience.
• Proven track record in building and maintaining automation frameworks.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Python Automation Engineer with strong experience in Selenium and Playwright to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Python.
  
• Create and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Playwright.
  
• Collaborate with Developers, QA Engineers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions.
  
• Develop and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
  
• Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Perform API testing and automation using tools such as Postman or Python-based frameworks.
  
• Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
  
• Ensure test coverage across web applications and critical business workflows.
  
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  
• Continuously improve automation processes, frameworks, and testing methodologies.
  

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
  
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright.
  
• Experience in automation framework development using PyTestor similar frameworks.
  
• Good understanding of UI automation testing methodologies.
  
• Experience with REST API testing and automation.
  
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
  
• Experience with source control tools like Git.
  
• Understanding of SQL and database validation.
  
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Docker and containerized test execution.
  
• Knowledge of performance testing tools.
  
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  
• Exposure to BDD frameworks like Behave or Cucumber.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
  
• 4-8 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
  
• Proven experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks.
  

Nice to Have

• Experience in enterprise web application testing.
  
• Certification in Software Testing or Automation Testing.
