Job summary

eInfochips in Ahmedabad, India, is seeking a Python Automation Engineer/Lead to design, build and maintain automated test frameworks for embedded devices and software. The role emphasizes Python, PyTest, Appium, and Windows automation with FlaUI, plus hands-on CI/CD and log analysis.

You will develop tests across integration, system and end-to-end levels, work with hardware-in-the-loop setups and simulators, and ensure quality through structured defect tracking and process adherence.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python and Appium.
• Hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks such as PyTest/Unittest.
• Building test automation frameworks from scratch or extending existing ones.
• Embedded or device testing: hardware-in-the-loop, simulators, serial/TCP/IPC communication, log analysis.
• Linux command line and shell scripting.
• Git and pull-request based workflows.
• CI/CD exposure (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines or GitHub Actions).
• Solid grasp of test design techniques: boundary values, equivalence classes, negative testing.
• Good written and spoken English for working with global teams.
