Job summary

Persistent is seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer in Pune to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium and Python, with Playwright for web apps. You will drive automated testing across functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scopes, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• 5–10 years in Software Testing and Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on Selenium automation framework development.
• Excellent Python programming skills.
• Mandatory hands-on Playwright experience.
• Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, and End-to-End Testing.
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of API Testing and Automation.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
• Understanding STLC and QA methodologies in Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Selenium and Python.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Create and maintain Playwright-based automation solutions for web applications.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, product owners, and business analysts to define test strategies.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis.
• Improve automation coverage, framework reusability, and framework efficiency.
• Support release validation, smoke testing, regression testing, and production verification activities.
• Create and maintain automation documentation, test plans, and execution reports.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog reviews.
