Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced Spanish language teacher with experience teaching Primary-aged students.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Spanish learning experiences for Primary students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver the curriculum and support transdisciplinary learning.
• Foster student voice, agency, responsibility and action through language learning experiences.
• Monitor, assess and document student progress in relation to objectives and curriculum frameworks; provide appropriate support.
• Maintain accurate records, portfolios and required documentation; communicate with students, parents, colleagues and leadership.
• Lead at least one extracurricular activity each semester and contribute to field trips and other learning experiences; participate in PD, parent-teacher conferences and events.

Key responsibilities: plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Spanish learning experiences for students with a range of language competencies and abilities; collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver the curriculum and support transdisciplinary learning; foster student voice, agency, responsibility and action through meaningful language-learning experiences; monitor, assess and document student progress in relation to learning objectives and curriculum frameworks; provide appropriate support for students' academic and pastoral needs; maintain accurate records, portfolios, evidence of learning and required documentation; communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, colleagues and school leadership; lead at least one extracurricular activity each semester and contribute to field trips and other learning experiences; participate actively in professional development, parent-teacher conferences, school events and community activities.
