Job summary

Viva Composite Panel is seeking a Purchase Manager to lead procurement for its manufacturing plant. The role focuses on planning, sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, machinery, and services to ensure cost-effective, timely and quality-compliant supply chains.

The candidate will manage supplier relationships, drive cost savings, and coordinate with Production, Quality, Finance, Stores, and Logistics to maintain uninterrupted material flow and compliant operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA/Specialization in Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • 8-15 years of procurement experience in manufacturing industries.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a managerial role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Source raw materials such as aluminum coils, polyethylene cores, chemicals, adhesives, packaging materials, and other production inputs.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Request quotations, compare offers, and negotiate the best commercial terms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier performance evaluations based on quality, cost, service, and delivery.
  • Develop alternative vendor sources to reduce procurement risks.
  • Coordinate with production, warehouse, and planning teams to forecast material requirements.
  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials for production.
  • Monitor inventory levels and avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.
  • Achieve annual procurement savings targets.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply conditions.
  • Recommend cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and agreements.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain procurement records and vendor databases.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, Finance, Stores, and Logistics departments.
  • Ensure purchased materials meet required specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitor compliance with legal, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Generate procurement reports, vendor performance reports, and cost analysis reports.
  • Present procurement KPIs to management.

Job Summary

The Purchase Manager is responsible for planning, sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, consumables, machinery, spare parts, packaging materials, and services required for the smooth operation of the composite panel manufacturing plant. The role ensures cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery, quality compliance, and effective supplier management.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
