Job Summary
The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, ensuring efficient procurement operations, cost optimization, and uninterrupted supply of pharmaceutical products. The role requires strong expertise in vendor management, third-party manufacturing coordination, and export-linked procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle from vendor identification to payment processing
- Source and procure finished formulations from domestic manufacturers for export requirements
- Identify and onboard WHO-GMP compliant manufacturers for loan license operations
- Lead vendor negotiations to achieve cost savings and favorable commercial terms
- Handle tender-based procurement, ready stock sourcing, and import-related processes
- Coordinate with CHA agents, logistics partners, and transporters for 57 monthly shipments
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods aligned with export schedules
- Develop and manage relationships with multiple pharmaceutical vendors, ensuring quality and reliability
- Monitor vendor performance based on cost, quality, and delivery timelines
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent stock-outs and overstocking
- Supervise procurement activities and ensure timely purchase order execution
- Ensure adherence to internal SOPs and regulatory compliance standards
- Collaborate with internal teams (Production, QA, Finance, Sales) for seamless operations
Technical Skills
Mandatory
- Strong experience in Pharma Procurement & Supply Chain
- In-depth knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes
- Expertise in vendor sourcing, negotiation, and contract management
- Familiarity with WHO-GMP and regulatory compliance
- Experience in inventory planning and supply coordination
Preferred
- Experience in Finished Formulation Procurement
- Exposure to Export Supply Chain / International Markets
- Knowledge of import permits and tender procurement
- Experience in third-party manufacturing / loan licensing
