Job summary

Maharishi Ayurveda Products Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a Purchase Manager for Ayurveda Manufacturing to streamline procurement of herbs, raw materials, packaging, and engineering items. You will build reliable supplier networks and negotiate terms to ensure timely material availability for production.

The role requires strong experience in procurement, vendor management, cost reduction, GMP/SOP compliance, and team leadership. Based in Noida region with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Pharmacy, Commerce, Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
• MBA/PGDM in Procurement/Supply Chain/Operations preferred.
• 58 years of relevant experience, preferably in Ayurvedic/Pharma/Herbal Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of Ayurvedic herbs, raw materials, extracts, oils, excipients, and active ingredients.
• Procure primary/secondary packaging materials, consumables, and engineering items.
• Identify, develop, and manage approved and reliable vendors.
• Obtain quotations and negotiate price, quality, delivery, MOQ, and payment terms.
• Prepare, release, and monitor Purchase Orders (POs).
• Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
• Coordinate with Production, PPC, QA/QC, Stores, Finance, R&D, and Engineering.
• Monitor vendor performance, delivery schedules, quality issues, and complaints.
• Drive cost reduction, price benchmarking, and procurement savings.
• Maintain optimum inventory and minimize stock-outs and emergency purchases.
• Ensure procurement compliance with GMP, SOPs, quality standards, and company policies.
• Maintain vendor records, purchase documentation, MIS, and procurement reports.
• Develop alternate sources for critical and high-value materials.
• Lead, guide, and monitor the Purchase/Procurement team.
• Support vendor qualification, audits, and periodic vendor evaluation.
• Ensure continuous improvement in procurement cost, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
