Job summary

Ethics Innovations is actively seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage end‑to‑end sourcing for a retail pharmacy network in India. You will handle PO processing, supplier negotiations, and inventory planning to ensure optimal stock levels across stores.

The ideal candidate has 7–8 years in procurement within retail pharma, strong vendor management skills, and advanced Excel capabilities to analyse data and forecast demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma) required.
• 7–8 years of procurement/purchasing experience in retail pharmacy.
• Experience in vendor management, PO processing, price negotiation, and inventory planning.
• Strong procurement procedures, stock management, and supply chain understanding.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis).

Responsibilities

• Procure medicines, OTC products, surgical items, medical devices, and healthcare products from authorized vendors.
• Generate and process Purchase Orders (POs).
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries and order confirmations.
• Ensure optimum stock availability while avoiding overstocking and stock-outs.
• Monitor inventory levels, slow-moving items, and expiry-sensitive products.
• Compare quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms, and discounts with suppliers.
• Coordinate with warehouse and stores for receipt and verification of purchased goods.
• Resolve shortages, damaged goods, and supplier discrepancies.
• Maintain procurement records, vendor master data, and purchase documentation.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and pharmaceutical regulations.
• Coordinate with Finance for invoice verification and vendor payment reconciliation.
• Prepare periodic purchase, inventory, and vendor performance reports.
• Identify new vendors and evaluate suppliers on quality, pricing, service, delivery.
• Support promotional buying and seasonal inventory planning.
