Job summary

Karamtara Engineering in Mumbai seeks a BE/BTech graduate with 3+ years of steel procurement experience. You will manage end-to-end purchasing of raw materials, maintenance items, capex and consumables, identify suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure timely deliveries.

You will prepare and issue purchase orders, maintain PO/WO data, manage vendor relationships, and collaborate with other departments for procurement planning.

Qualifications

• Procure raw materials, maintenance items, capex and consumables.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost and delivery performance.
• Release payments as per funds from accounts department.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines with suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comparative sheets and obtain approvals from higher authority.
• Develop and maintain a vendor database.
• Vendor registration and material creation in ERP System.
• Release Work Orders as per Job Work process requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments for procurement planning.

Role & responsibilities

• Procurement & Purchasing the Raw Material, maintenance accessories, capex & Consumable items.
• Identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost and delivery performance.
• Payment release as per Allotted funds received from account department.
• Negotiating contracts, terms, and deadline with suppliers.
• Managing suppliers relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Developing and maintaining a vendor database.
• Prepare and issuing Purchase Order.
• Monitoring and managing inventory levels.
• Ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Prepare comparative sheets and take approval from higher authority.
• Analyzing market trends and implement cost saving strategies.
• Collaborating with other department for procurement planning.
• To release Work Order as per requirement of Job Work process.
• Maintain the data of Purchase Order & Work Order for taking the follow-up from supplier or vendor.
• Vendor registration, Material creation in ERP System.
