About the role

We are seeking a talented Publishing Designer/Layout Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing pages as process defined. You will work closely with the Head of Publishing.

Responsibilities

• Lay outing the pages of Books, Journals and other publishing products as per specification and instruction given by various publishing house.
• Most of time work will be done in Adobe InDesign.
• Scope to work on MSword, Adobe Pagemaker/Framemaker as well.
• Division expected work STM, AcTrade, Law, Accounts and Management and other academic division
• Both XML and non-XML workflow need to be adapted.
• Following on Schedule, Work Instructions, and Checklists
• Responsible for Quality and Quantity Standards defined by us

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in Adobe InDesign CC latest.
• Keyboarding in English, Awareness of Short-cut keys
• Strong proficiency in handling various input file .docx, .idml, PDF, .txt, .xls
• Hands-on experience with supporting apps MSWord, Notepad++, Ultraedit
• Familiarity with Chicago Manual Styles, Style manuals of Cambridge, Oxford and other global publishers

Nice to have

• Conversion process of Digital products. Especially, ePub 3.0/HTML5/XML, Accessible PDF and other byproduct from Adobe InDesign
