Job summary

KnowledgeWorks Global (KGL) is seeking a capable publishing coordinator to layout pages according to design files and specs, ensuring corrections are accurately implemented with zero errors. You will align journal components—headings, abstracts, keywords, tables, figures, and references—per customer specifications and pre-flight PDFs while coordinating with the team for timely completion.

Candidates should have a graduate degree with 2+ years in publishing, be proficient in InDesign with XML,

• Graduate with 2+ years of experience in publishing.
• InDesign with XML expertise.
• Knowledge of journal workflow advantageous.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Laying out pages as per design file and specification within stipulated time.
• Interpret and implement corrections with accuracy to avoid errors.
• Align journal contents such as headers, abstract, keywords, tables, paragraphs, figures, math equations, references per specs.
• Pre-flighting PDFs and fix log errors.
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Adapt to working environment and defined workflow.

Role & responsibilities :-

• Laying out pages as per design file and specification within stipulated time.
• Making sure all marked corrections are properly interpreted and diligently carried out and no errors are introduced.
• Align journal contents such a headers, abstract, keywords, tables, paragraphs, figures, math equations, references etc, as per customer specifications.
• Pre-flighting PDFs and fixing any log errors.
• Coordinating with other team to ensure timely completion of allotted jobs.
• Adapting to working environment and defined workflow.

Candidate profile:

• Graduate with 2+ years of experience in publishing industry.
• InDesign with XML.
• In addition to books, if have worked on Journals will be added advantage.
• Good knowledge in Journal workflow.
• Analytical skills to review input material and logical understanding of template Flexible to work in shifts.
