Job summary

Staffing Global Network LLP seeks a hybrid Publication Setup Specialist / Graphic Designer to create magazine ads and print layouts for U.S. publication clients. You will use Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) to deliver print-ready artwork and collaborate with American teams.

The ideal candidate has deep print production experience, strong portfolio, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. QuarkXPress experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

Role Overview

This hybrid role combines publication setup expertise with hands‑on graphic design responsibilities. The ideal candidate will create magazine ads, classifieds, print advertisements, and layout‑based designs for U.S. publication clients. The role requires deep proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Experience working under pressure and meeting stringent deadlines is critical. Experience with QuarkXPress is welcome but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and layout magazine ads, classifieds, and print‑ready advertisements for newspapers and magazines.
• Work extensively in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Create visually compelling layouts that follow publication specifications (size, bleed, trim, color, etc.).
• Prepare and deliver print‑ready artwork with accurate color profiles, resolution, bleeds, and export settings.
• Collaborate with U.S.-based clients to understand briefs, clarify specs, and ensure high‑quality output.
• Review and proof layouts for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with brand guidelines.
• Manage multiple design and publication tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Maintain templates, styles, and client‑specific publication formats.
• Stay updated on trends in print production, typography, and publication layout.
• Adapt print layouts for digital use when required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands‑on experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) - this is mandatory.
• Deep experience in print production, publication layout, and prepress workflows.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight, frequent deadlines.
• Experience designing for magazines, weeklies, classifieds, and print ad formats.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience working with American publication houses is a strong plus.
• QuarkXPress experience is good to have but not required.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating publication design and print work.
• Practical expertise is valued over formal academic degrees.
