Axalta is seeking a process engineering professional to drive scale-up from R&D to full-scale production in a fast-paced coatings environment. You will design, optimize and troubleshoot manufacturing processes, applying Lean, Six Sigma, DOE, and SPC to boost yield and reduce cycle times.

You will collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and EHS to ensure process safety, compliance, and robust data management. A 3–5 year background in chemical/coatings environments is expected.

Formación

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering / technology.
• Experience: 3–5 years in chemical/coatings industry, R&D lab, or manufacturing.
• Experience with process automation and control systems.
• Basic knowledge of automation and control systems incl. SCADA/PLC.
• Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques incl. Lean, Six Sigma (DMAIC), DOE, SPC, RCA, and data analysis.
• Ability to read, interpret and review P&IDs for process understanding, troubleshooting, safety, and ops support.
• Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment and compliance.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong project management skills and task prioritization.

Responsabilidades

• Scale-up and Support: Lead transition of new/modified products from R&D to full-scale production, ensuring process feasibility.
• Process Development & Improvement: Design, execute and optimize manufacturing processes through experimentation and tech upgrades to improve efficiency, cycle time, product quality, yield and cost.
• Safety & Compliance: Provide technical support to PSM, Management of Change-Technology, PHA, and develop/update SOPs and batch records.
• Data Management: Maintain and improve master data for accurate production information.
• Data Analysis & Technical Support: Analyze manufacturing data to drive decisions while troubleshooting equipment and optimizing batch/continuous processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and EHS to support process control and CAPA.

Data Analysis & Technical Support: Analyse manufacturing data and metrics to drive decisions while troubleshooting equipment and optimizing batch and continuous processes.

Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and EHS to support process control, new product alignment, and CAPA initiatives.
