Job summary

Axalta is seeking a senior coatings professional in India to apply coatings, resins, and curing chemistries for automotive refinishes. The role covers panel prep, sample preparation, result interpretation, and guiding work plans within a fast-paced team.

With 8–10 years of relevant experience, you will present findings in internal meetings, engage with customers and suppliers, and support manufacturing for alignment batches.

Qualifications

• Graduate / Postgraduate in Chemistry, Polymer science, Paint Technology, Chemical engineering, Diploma in Paint Technology.
• Minimum 8-10 years related work experience in Coatings or allied industry.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Should know Hindi, English.
• Ability to present according to the audience; strong interpersonal, networking and team player.

Responsibilities

• Panel preparation & testing as per product specification.
• Preparing paint samples (Pre-mixing, Grinding, Thinning) as per formulation/guidelines.
• Interpret and analyze results; suggest path forward and contribute to work plans and daily workflow.
• Meet project milestones; manage multiple projects with guidance from supervisor.
• Present work progress at project team meetings; participate in customer and supplier meetings.
• Support manufacturing for alignment batches and visit customers for new product launches or issue resolution.
• Maintain 5S & Safety in Laboratory & office area.
• Accomplish other tasks assigned by superior.

Applies basic knowledge of coatings, resins, and curing chemistries for certain segment, technology, or process to a business specific application for Automotive refinish. Panel preparation & testing as per product specification.
