Job summary

Aeroshul Technologies is seeking a Propulsion Engineer (Hybrid Systems) to push the boundaries of range and endurance for next‑generation tactical UAS. You will join engineers who value speed, ownership, and first‑principles thinking.

Responsibilities include designing propulsion concepts for hybrid architectures, sizing and tuning systems, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance aerospace technologies. Hybrid work and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with hands‑on experience in IC engines or HV powertrains.
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and combustion principles.
  • Familiarity with DC power distribution and SFC maps is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design propulsion concepts for hybrid UAVs and tactical systems.
  • Size and tune propulsion components including motors, controllers, and energy storage.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑end aerospace technologies.

Job description

Role

We are looking for a Propulsion Engineer (Hybrid Systems) to push the boundaries of range and endurance for building our next-generation tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). You will join our core team of engineers who value speed, ownership, and first-principles thinking over corporate functioning.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: B.Tech in Mechatronics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 2+ years hands‑on experience with IC Engines (2-stroke/4-stroke) or High‑Voltage EV Power‑trains.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion principles, SFC maps, and DC power distribution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters (M.S.) focusing on hybrid architectures, powertrains, or energy systems.
  • Experience tuning Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) systems & automotive ECUs.
  • Solid grasp of high-voltage (HV) systems, electric motor dynamics, power electronics (inverters/converters), and battery energy storage.
  • Experience sizing BLDC motors and propellers for UAVs.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Python for energy balance modelling.
  • Alumni Status: Previous core member of a Formula Student (FSAE), Baja SAE, or a DBF (Design/Build/Fly) team is a massive plus.
