Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher education in engineering with related discipline.

POSITION SUMMARY

Describe the primary purpose and function of this job

This is an outside sales position requiring a highly motivated, self-motivated, and results-oriented professional.

The Specification Engineer will act as a trusted technical partner to project stakeholders, building strong relationship

and supporting them throughout the project lifecycle. The role will involve close collaboration with EPC contractors, consultants,

and other key stakeholders to review project specifications and identify opportunities where Swagelok products and solutions will provide value.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project Specification & Stakeholder Management: Develop and promote Swagelok product specifications to owners, EPC, and other project stakeholders. Influencing project stake holders to secure Swagelok specifications in projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor projects and update Internal stake holders/ management on specification status and opportunities.
• Technical Consulting & Solution Development: Provide technical recommendations and solutions to customers based on their project requirements and application needs. Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to develop solutions that meet technical and project specifications. Ensure technical solutions and documentation remain aligned with industry standards, customer expectations, and evolving market needs.
• Training & Knowledge Transfer: Promote new products and solutions to customers and target markets, highlighting their technical and commercial benefits. Identify emerging market trends, customer requirements, and business opportunities, and collaborate with the internal stakeholder to propose solutions. Support business growth by identifying new applications, market opportunities, and customer segments for existing and newly developed products.
• Market Intelligence: Monitoring competitor activities, pricing trends. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key project stakeholders to support business development and project growth.

EDUCATION, PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Education, Professional Qualification: Graduation in B.E / B.Tech Mechanical, Instrumentation and Electrical engineering. (CS / IT not preferred). MBA preferred, but not mandatory.

Experience: 8-10 years of working as a Specification specialist focussed on EPC customers and other customers involved in projects. Prior experience in Oil & Gas is mandatory for this position.

Skills: Excellent communication, both oral and written. Excellent presentation skills, Computer proficiency in MS Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook is a key requirement for the job. Experience using tools like Salesforce to track long sales cycles.

Additional: Position currently based at Gurgaon. Mobility may be required to travel to various customers within the service area. Prior experience with EPC customers in Delhi/NCR is mandatory
