Job summary

Deepak Chem Tech Ltd in Vadodara, Gujarat, seeks an experienced Project Planning & Control Engineer to manage EPC project execution across Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Agrochemical sectors. You will lead end-to-end planning from initiation through closure, ensuring schedules, cost, and scope alignment.

The role requires 8–10 years of EPC planning experience; proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project, and knowledge of SAP/ERP. PMP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of EPC project planning experience.
• Exposure to chemical/oil & gas / petrochemical / agrochemical projects.
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering; PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules at all levels.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Generate project performance indices and S-curves.
• Monitor costs, forecasts, and cash flows.
• Manage change requests and their impacts on schedule and cost.
• Identify critical activities and highlight risks to stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate progress measurement and reporting across projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage scope, schedule, and risk.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Planning & Control Engineer to manage, monitor, and control project execution across EPC projects in the Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Agrochemical sectors. The role involves end-to-end project planning from project initiation through closure, ensuring adherence to timelines, cost, and scope.

Experience Required:

• 8 to 10 years of experience in EPC project planning
• Prior exposure to Chemical / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Agrochemical projects is essential

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project schedules at all levels, including detailed planning, critical path identification, and float analysis
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations
• Generate project performance indices and S-curves for tracking progress and productivity
• Monitor and report project costs, forecasts, and cash flows
• Manage and track change requests and their impact on schedule and cost
• Identify and continuously monitor critical activities, highlighting risks to stakeholders
• Ensure accurate progress measurement and reporting aligned with project execution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage scope, schedule, and risk control

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems
