Job summary

Job Summary

The Project Manager (Level 4) is responsible for the overall planning, execution, monitoring, coordination, commercial control, and successful delivery of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and EPC projects from project award through final handover. The role serves as the primary interface between the Client, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Site Teams, Vendors, and Company Management, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with contractual, technical, quality, and statutory requirements. The Project Manager is expected to provide leadership, drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, proactively manage risks, optimize project performance, and ensure the successful achievement of project objectives while maintaining long-term customer relationships.

Job Profile

A. Project Planning & Execution

• Develop comprehensive Project Execution Plans.
• Establish project schedules and milestone plans.
• Allocate engineering and project resources.
• Monitor project progress and implement recovery plans where necessary.
• Ensure successful completion of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, logistics, construction, and commissioning activities.

B. Project Commercial Management

• Monitor project budgets and engineering hours.
• Control project costs and profitability.
• Review commercial commitments.
• Manage change orders and variation requests.
• Coordinate invoicing and milestone billing.
• Monitor project cash flow.

C. Engineering Coordination

• Coordinate Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls,
• Procurement, Quality, and Site teams.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are issued according to project schedules.
• Resolve interdisciplinary engineering issues.
• Review technical risks affecting project execution.

D. Procurement & Vendor Management

• Monitor procurement schedules.
• Review vendor progress.
• Coordinate technical bid evaluations.
• Support vendor inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
• Ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.

E. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
• Conduct project review meetings.
• Manage client communications.
• Resolve commercial and technical issues.
• Build long-term customer relationships.

F. Risk & Change Management

• Identify project risks.
• Maintain project risk registers.
• Develop mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate change requests.

Desired Profile

• BE / B.Tech (Mechanical / Chemical / Process / Industrial) or a related Engineering discipline with 10 to 15 yrs experience in Process Design & Engineering with EPC / Turnkey Projects Design Engineering companies.
• Expertise in Process Designing for Engineering & EPC, Pharmaceuticals, Specialty Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas, Fertilizers, Food & Beverage, Process Equipment Manufacturing, Industrial Plants etc.
• Experience in process plants, industrial projects, or equipment manufacturing is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Technical Competencies in EPC Project Management, Project Planning & Scheduling, Cost Control & Budget Management, Contract Administration, Risk Management, Engineering Coordination, Procurement & Vendor Management, Client Relationship Management, Construction & Commissioning Coordination, Quality Management Systems, Project Documentation & Reporting, Commercial Awareness, International Engineering Standards.
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Exposure of Microsoft Project/ Primavera P6 (Preferred) ERP Systems, Microsoft Teams / SharePoint, AutoCAD (Basic Understanding), Document Management Systems.
• Ready to travel in India & outside India whenever require.
