The ideal candidate has 16+ years in PM leadership, advanced Tekla knowledge, and experience with global clients, budgets, and schedules.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of experience in Structural Steel Detailing, VDC, or BIM with strong PM leadership.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and leading PM teams.
• Advanced knowledge of Tekla Structures and steel detailing processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards (AISC/NISD/AWS/ASTM).
• Experience coordinating with international clients, preferably US market.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of structural steel detailing projects, ensuring scope, schedule, quality and budgets are met.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Team Leaders, and delivery teams.
• Review strategies, plans, schedules, budgets, and staffing requirements.
• Monitor financial health, profitability, and resource utilization across projects.
• Maintain senior-level client relationships and stakeholder communications.

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Project Management Leader to oversee a portfolio of structural steel detailing projects, drive operational excellence, and ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Tekla Structures, project portfolio management, client relationship management, team leadership, and project financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple structural steel detailing projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Team Leaders, and project delivery teams.
• Review project execution strategies, resource plans, schedules, budgets, and staffing requirements.
• Monitor project performance, productivity, financial health, profitability, and resource utilization.
• Act as the primary senior-level contact for clients and key stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Collaborate with Technical Managers to ensure consistency in technical deliverables, detailing quality, and constructability.
• Proactively identify and resolve project risks, escalations, resource constraints, and delivery challenges.
• Conduct regular project reviews, financial assessments, and portfolio performance meetings.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.
• Establish standardized project management practices to improve efficiency, consistency, and delivery predictability.
• Contribute to business development activities, strategic project pursuits, proposals, and client presentations.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance across project teams.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 16+ years of experience in Structural Steel Detailing, VDC, or BIM, with significant project management and leadership experience.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and leading project management teams.
• Advanced knowledge of Tekla Structures and structural steel detailing processes.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication, constructability, BIM coordination, shop drawings, and erection drawings.
• Familiarity with AISC, NISD, AWS, ASTM, and relevant construction industry standards.
• Working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, financial reporting, and resource management.
• Exposure to Design-Build, Design Assist, or Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) projects.
• Experience managing geographically distributed teams and coordinating with international clients, preferably in the US market.
• Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP certification or an equivalent project management qualification will be preferred.
