Job summary

Citi is seeking a highly motivated professional for a hybrid Project Manager and Scrum Master role in India. You will bridge business and technology teams, drive agile project delivery, and ensure delivery of strategic initiatives.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration, manage plans and risks, and coach teams on Scrum practices to improve agility and outcomes.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven professional to perform a hybrid role of Project Manager, and Scrum Master. The ideal candidate will bridge business and technology teams, drive project delivery, facilitate Agile practices, and ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives. This role requires strong stakeholder management, analytical thinking, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in Agile project delivery.

Project Manager Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and roadmaps.
• Manage project budgets, resource allocation, risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including business, technology, operations, and vendors.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, quality standards, and budget.
• Facilitate decision-making by providing project insights, metrics, and recommendations.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and manage expectations throughout project execution.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure compliance with organizational governance, change management, and delivery frameworks.

Scrum Master Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions.
• Coach Agile teams on Scrum principles, Agile best practices, and continuous improvement.
• Remove impediments and blockers impacting team productivity and sprint commitments.
• Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy and prioritized product backlog.
• Foster collaboration, transparency, accountability, and self-organization within the team.
• Monitor sprint progress and ensure delivery commitments are achieved.
• Use Agile metrics such as Velocity, Burndown Charts, and Sprint Health indicators to improve team performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote Agile maturity across teams.

Recommended Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in project manager experience.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques
• Proven interpersonal, diplomatic and influencing skills
• Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

Professional Certifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) – PMI
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)

Education

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
