Job summary

Envirocare Infrasolution Private Limited, through its parent Shri Mahavir Ferro Alloys, seeks an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to supervise E&I erection, installation, testing and commissioning for LRF, VD, IF and CCM in the Steel Melting Shop.

The role ensures safe, timely, and quality electrical and instrumentation work in line with drawings, schedules and standards, coordinating with civil, mechanical, automation and project teams.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in electrical & instrumentation erection, installation, testing, commissioning, and project execution.
• Experience in Steel Melting Shop (SMS), LRF, VD, IF, CCM or similar heavy industrial projects.
• Hands-on experience in E&I project execution and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise electrical and instrumentation erection, installation, testing, and commissioning for LRF, VD, IF, and CCM.
• Coordinate installation of HT/LT systems, MCCs, PCCs, transformers, motors, drives, control panels, PLC/DCS.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers for technical matters.
• Ensure work adheres to drawings, method statements, quality standards, and project specs.
• Plan manpower, materials, tools, and equipment for site execution.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and commissioning records.

Employment Information :

The position is with Envirocare Infrasolution Private Limited, a subsidiary of Shri Mahavir Ferro Alloys Private Limited. While Shri Mahavir Ferro Alloys Private Limited is the parent/group company, all recruitment, employment, payroll, and related HR processes for this role will be managed by Envirocare Infrasolution Private Limited.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to manage and supervise E&I erection, installation, testing, and commissioning activities for LRF (Ladle Refining Furnace), VD (Vacuum Degassing), IF (Induction Furnace), and CCM (Continuous Casting Machine) facilities within the Steel Melting Shop.

The role will be responsible for ensuring safe, timely, and quality execution of electrical and instrumentation works in line with project specifications, drawings, schedules, and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise electrical and instrumentation erection, installation, testing, and commissioning activities for LRF, VD, IF, and CCM facilities.
• Review electrical and instrumentation drawings, layouts, cable schedules, equipment specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate installation of HT/LT systems, MCCs, PCCs, transformers, motors, drives, control panels, PLC/DCS systems, instrumentation, field devices, and associated cabling.
• Supervise engineers, supervisors, technicians, contractors, and site personnel.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, automation, production, commissioning, and other project teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers for technical and execution-related matters.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and ensure timely completion of activities.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, method statements, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Plan manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required for site execution.
• Inspect completed installations and coordinate pre-commissioning, testing, commissioning, and trial-run activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues during installation and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems, and statutory standards.
• Prepare and maintain daily/weekly progress reports, inspection records, test reports, commissioning reports, checklists, and as-built documentation.
• Monitor contractor performance, productivity, quality, and adherence to project timelines.
• Identify execution risks, delays, and technical issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide regular updates to project management.

Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems used in steel plants / steel melting shops.
• Good understanding of industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, testing, and commissioning practices.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical safety standards and industrial practices.

Experience Required

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in electrical & instrumentation erection, installation, testing, commissioning, and project execution.
• Experience in Steel Melting Shop (SMS), LRF, VD, IF, CCM, or other heavy industrial/steel plant projects will be highly preferred.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in E&I project execution and commissioning will be preferred.
