Job summary

Partner Company seeks an experienced Project Manager, PMO Operations in India to drive program actions from intake to closure. You will coordinate across global delivery teams, create trackers and cadences, and produce leadership-level reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of project management experience in corporate IT, managed services, or equivalent.
  • Experience in embedded/client-support models with strong client communication and stakeholder expectations.
  • Proven ability to establish new teams, functions, or workstreams with trackers, cadences, and processes from scratch.
  • Strong business writing skills for global and senior audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills across technical and business teams.

  • Own tracking and closure of program actions across global delivery teams with clear owners and schedules.
  • Lead small to mid-sized initiatives from scoping through closure with reporting and stakeholder alignment.
  • Build and maintain project trackers, reporting tools, meeting cadences, and coordination processes.
  • Draft, edit, and publish internal communications for various audiences and tones.
  • Coordinate intake and information flow between teams and route, track, progress, and close requests.
  • Produce recurring reports on program health, action status, and risks for leadership and client reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes and operational workflows with practical improvements.
  • Raise risks and dependencies early and provide clear information for timely decisions.

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager, PMO Operations based in India.

This role supports PMO operations for a large, global client within a fast-moving, cross-functional IT environment.
You will keep program actions, initiatives, and workstreams progressing from intake through closure.
The position combines project coordination, stakeholder management, business communications, reporting, and process improvement.
You will work with teams across different functions and seniority levels, including delivery leaders and client stakeholders.
The role offers significant autonomy, with opportunities to establish processes, trackers, cadences, and reporting structures where needed.
Success requires strong organization, sound judgment, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to communicate clearly with global audiences.
Regular collaboration with US-based stakeholders makes this an internationally focused opportunity with meaningful operational impact.

Accountabilities
  • Own the tracking and closure of program actions across global delivery teams, maintaining clear owners, schedules, deadlines, and escalation paths.

  • Lead small to medium-sized initiatives from scoping and planning through stakeholder alignment, execution, reporting, and formal closure.

  • Build and maintain project trackers, reporting tools, meeting cadences, templates, and coordination processes that enable workstreams to operate effectively.

  • Draft, edit, and publish internal communications for audiences ranging from delivery teams to senior leadership, adapting messaging and tone appropriately.

  • Coordinate intake and information flow between teams, ensuring requests are appropriately routed, tracked, progressed, and closed.

  • Produce recurring reports covering program health, action status, initiative progress, risks, and key developments for leadership and client review.

  • Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, communication practices, templates, and operational workflows, implementing practical improvements.

  • Raise risks, dependencies, and ambiguities early and provide clear information to support timely decision-making.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of project management experience within corporate IT, managed services, or a comparable services environment.

  • Experience working in a dedicated, embedded, or client-support model, with sound judgment around client communication, escalation, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Demonstrated experience establishing a new team, function, or workstream, including creating trackers, reporting structures, operating cadences, and processes from the ground up.

  • Strong business writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise communications for global and senior audiences.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams, business functions, senior leadership, and client contacts.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently prioritize competing responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, AI-enabled productivity tools, and project or work-management platforms.

  • A proactive and adaptable approach, including the confidence to ask questions, identify gaps, initiate action, test solutions, and adjust course when needed.

  • Willingness to maintain regular working-hour overlap with US time zones to support global stakeholders.
